About Us
Bill Hopf is a leadership/business owner coach, facilitator, teacher, and a senior chairman for Vistage, a pre-eminent international network of business owners and CEOs who meet each month in an advisory capacity to help each other become better leaders, make better decisions, and achieve better results. A capsule of his experience involves:
- 51 years of practical leadership experience,
- Over 13,500 hours of leadership/strategic coaching,
- Direct interaction coaching more than 150 business owners.
- 10 years teaching OD& Leadership for MBA candidates,
- 21+ years chairing Vistage Member Groups.
Prior to starting his own consulting business, Anchor Resources, in 1989; Bill held leadership positions in organizations beginning with four years as a Regular Army officer in the Signal Corps; followed by engineering duties in the Jet Engine Department of General Electric; and then leading the engineering departments of two major valve and pump manufacturers, becoming the national technical spokesperson for the US Valve Manufacturers Association. In 1979, Bill assumed the position as the chief executive officer for a $100+ million subsidiary of Cooper Industries of Houston, TX. His broad experience helped to perfect skills in developing top performers, achieving high levels of organizational productivity, strategic planning, cost reduction, facilities growth, and survival in the face of a market collapse.
Bill is a graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute with a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering, as well as completion of the “Executive Program” at the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
